The aim of education is to acquire vidya, i.e. wisdom and gain a deeper understanding of oneself, the world and the ultimate reality. It is viewed as a transformative journey towards spiritual growth and liberation (moksha). From a child’s early explorations into life through play, through years of formal education, humans eventually aspire to reach a state of being, described by seers as ‘present moment awareness’ or just ‘to be’ and is regarded as the highest form of learning.

This transformative process is facilitated through a series of experiences. As educators, it is our responsibility to provide experiences that satiate their curiosity, ignite their passion for learning, and instill guidelines for ethical behaviour, which form the foundation of their core values and shape their personalities.

In a successful educational journey, children develop a genuine interest in reading, find fascination in numbers, appreciate the rigour of logical reasoning, and derive joy from seeking answers to their questions. They learn the value of responsibility by setting meaningful goals and dedicating themselves to achieve them.
