Welcome to Sixth Grade! A Successful Parent Orientation Program
The Maharana Pratap Auditorium bustled with excitement on April 6th, 2024, as approximately 80 parents of our incoming Class VI students attended a comprehensive orientation program.
The program commenced with a welcome song followed by vibrant Ganesh Vandana performance. Thus, setting a positive tone for the day. Following this, the principal addressed the parents, outlining the school’s mission and vision. This provided valuable insight into the core values that guide our educational approach. Additionally, important school procedures and policies were explained, ensuring a smooth transition for both students and parents.
The program offered a series of informative presentations. A detailed overview of the Class VI academic curriculum, including details on assessments, attendance, and scholarship opportunities. The exciting “One Sport, One Child” initiative, along with a variety of enriching club activities and potential exchange programs were also introduced. Important contact information, such as bus routes were also shared.
The session also focused on the changes students can expect as they enter Class VI. This presentation helped alleviate any anxieties and provided a clear picture of the upcoming academic year. Finally, the topics crucial to student well-being in Class VI were also addressed.
The program fostered open communication through a dedicated Q&A session. Parents actively participated, seeking clarification on various aspects. Common topics included club activities and student participation, the possibility of gender-specific sessions, strategies for addressing bullying, the availability of swimming classes, and the rationale behind the mandatory student shuffling practice.
The program concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving parents feeling informed, empowered, and confident about their child’s upcoming journey in Class VI.
