To empower teachers with the skill and knowledge necessary to effectively utilise Microsoft PowerPoint as a teaching tool, an IT workshop was conducted on 6 April 2024 by Mrs. Tripta Saxena. The workshop aimed at enhancing educators’ ability to create engaging and interactive presentations to support classroom teaching learning and contribute to improved educational outcomes.

Topics Covered :

·         Introduction to PowerPoint : The workshop began with an overview of Microsoft PowerPoint, including its features, interface, and capabilities. Participants were introduced to the basic functions of PowerPoint, such as creating slides, adding text and images, and formatting elements.

·         Design Principles for Effective Presentations : This session focused on the principles of good design for PowerPoint presentations. Teachers learnt about elements such as layout, color scheme, font selection, and visual consistency to create visually appealing and professional-looking slides.

·         Incorporating Multimedia Elements : Participants explored the use of multimedia elements such as inserting images, videos, and audio clips to enhance their presentations.

·         Interactive Features and Animation : Teachers were introduced to interactive features and animation effects in PowerPoint. They learnt how to create interactive quizzes, clickable buttons, and animated transitions to make their presentations more dynamic and engaging.

 

The workshop was an enriching experience for the educators which gave them an opportunity to enhance their presentation skills and leverage technology to Support the teaching learning process.
